Christmas is False

Matt 2:11

And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

When the Wise men finally found Jesus he wasn’t in a manger anymore and he was around 2 years old. “He was in a “House.”

If Jesus Christ wasn’t born on December 25, does the Bible indicate when He was born?

The biblical accounts point to the fall of the year as the most likely time of Jesus’ birth, based on the conception and birth of John the Baptist.

Since Elizabeth (John’s mother) was in her sixth month of pregnancy when Jesus was conceived (Luke 1:24-36), we can determine the approximate time of year Jesus was born if we know when John was born. John’s father, Zacharias, was a priest serving in the Jerusalem temple during the course of Abijah (Luke 1:5). Historical calculations indicate this course of service corresponded to June 13-19 in that year ( The Companion Bible, 1974, Appendix 179, p. 200).

It was during this time of temple service that Zacharias learned that he and his wife Elizabeth would have a child (Luke 1:8-13). After he completed his service and traveled home, Elizabeth conceived (Luke 1:23-24). Assuming John’s conception took place near the end of June, adding nine months brings us to the end of March as the most likely time for John’s birth. Adding another six months (the difference in ages between John and Jesus) brings us to the end of September as the likely time of Jesus’ birth.

BELIEF IN SANTA CLAUS

Many think it is alright to teach their kids about Santa as long as they tell them there was once a real man named St. Nicholas who gave gifts.

The problem with this is that St. Nicholas is now dead.

So in their eyes how are the presents getting under the tree?

By teaching them about the real St. Nicholas they are teaching them the practice of necromancy (which the Bible forbids in Deuteronomy 18:11)!

They are in essence teaching their kids that the spirit of this dead man is coming to their home to leave gifts.

Or, that the mythological Santa is a channel for the real St. Nicholas.

Any type of communication or interaction with the dead is forbidden by God!

Also, the word santo means ‘holy’ in the Spanish language.  In Spanish, the Holy Bible is called the “Santa Biblia”.  Use of the word santa during the Christmas season is an obvious depiction of holiness, especially since he is supposed to be a type of representation of a Saint (St. Nicholas).

The mythical Santa Claus is a mockery because he is neither holy; nor is he all knowing – as the world tries to portray him.

God is the only one who is all knowing (omnipotent).

If you do not think that teaching your children to believe in Santa Claus is spiritually harmful you are deceived, because to the world Santa is the spiritual replacement or equivalent to Jesus Christ.

Santa Claus is even portrayed with white hair just like the Biblical description of Jesus in Daniel and Revelation.

Daniel 7:9:  I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.

Revelation 1:14:  His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire.  Again, if you do not believe the world compares Santa Claus with Jesus then why does the mythological Santa look like the Biblical description of Jesus?

Santa even has a throne!

Santa is also supposed to know everything you have done and judge you on the list he has made of your works.  Does this sound familiar?

Revelation 20:12:  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened:  and another book was opened, which is the book of life:  and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Also, why is Santa portrayed with a sparkle in his eye – comparable to the flames in Jesus’ eyes in the book of Revelation?

You also need take a look at what scripture says about the so-called Christmas tree!

Jeremiah 10:2-4:  Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.  For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.  They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.  We had better be careful what we are participating in – especially when we do not know the real spiritual nature behind it!)
